Registered Dental Assistant- Bilingual

Work/ Learn/ Train Opportunity

How would you like to be paid to learn a new career?  Sonoma Valley Community Health Center is offering to train you become a Dental Assistant while providing a salary while you work, learn and train all at the same time.  We are seeking a Dental Assistant who, working work under the supervision of dentists, will be responsible for a wide range of tasks in the dental office, ranging from patient care to administrative duties to laboratory functions. The dental assistant position requires a flexible and varied individual with a diverse set of skills: clinical, clerical, interpersonal, and technological.

Front Office Assistant – Bilingual

Under the supervision of the SVCHC Front Office Manager performs front office duties which may include: receive, schedule and discharge patients, answers the phone, provide necessary information, schedule appointments, takes messages or transfers the call to the appropriate person.  As a member of the Care Team, ensures that patients have patient care summaries and are scheduled and/or placed on recall for their next appointment. Appropriately maintains patient records in a confidential manner.  Performs daily bookkeeping tasks.  Acknowledges and respects individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles.

The Health Center provides medical care and preventative services to people of all ages: newborns, children, teenagers, childbearing women, adults and the elderly. SVCHC is the only “safety net” provider serving the residents of the Sonoma Valley and the only primary care provider in Sonoma Valley currently accepting Medi-Cal and uninsured patients.
