Payments & Financial Assistance

We believe that understanding healthcare costs should be simple and straightforward. Our team is here to help you understand your payment options and answer any questions you may have before your visit.

Paying for Your Care

At check-in, we will review your account for any outstanding balances, copayments, or fees related to your visit. Payments can be made by cash, credit card, or debit card, and you will receive a receipt for all payments made.

Some preventive laboratory services may be included as part of your visit. If your healthcare provider recommends additional tests that are not included, we will do our best to provide you with an estimate of any additional costs beforehand. These services will be billed separately and are the patient’s responsibility.

If you are unable to pay the full amount at the time of your visit, please speak with a member of our Front Office team before you leave. We may be able to help you arrange a payment plan or connect you with our Billing Department to discuss available options.

Our goal is to make healthcare accessible and to work with you to find solutions that support your care and financial needs.

Accepted Insurance Plans

We believe everyone deserves access to quality healthcare. Sonoma Valley Community Health Center accepts Medi-Cal, Medicare, and most private insurance plans.

If you need help applying for Medi-Cal or exploring health insurance options through Covered California, our Eligibility and Enrollment Team is here to assist you. We can help you understand your options and connect you with coverage that meets your needs.

Sliding Fee Discount Program

At Sonoma Valley Community Health Center, we are committed to making healthcare accessible for everyone in our community.

Patients who meet eligibility requirements may qualify for our Sliding Fee Discount Program (SFDP), which offers reduced fees based on household size and income. Eligibility is determined using the most current Federal Poverty Guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.

If you are uninsured, underinsured, or concerned about the cost of care, our team can help determine whether you qualify for discounted services. We encourage you to speak with our staff to learn more about available financial assistance options.
